Garmin Expands its Forerunner Portfolio in India with the Forerunner 70, Forerunner 170 and Forerunner 170 Music

Garmin announced the India availability of its latest Forerunner GPS running smartwatches, the Forerunner 70, Forerunner 170 and Forerunner 170 Music, expanding its portfolio of performance-driven wearables designed for runners across every stage of their fitness journey.

As running continues to gain momentum across India, the latest Forerunner range combines Garmin’s trusted GPS technology with intelligent training tools, advanced performance analytics and comprehensive health monitoring to help users train smarter, recover better and achieve their goals with confidence. Designed for everyone from first-time runners preparing for their first race to experienced athletes seeking deeper performance insights, the new line-up delivers a personalised training experience in lightweight designs with vibrant AMOLED displays.

The new Forerunner portfolio combines Garmin’s adaptive training ecosystem with powerful health and wellness features. Featuring a vibrant 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and up to 13 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, the Forerunner 70 combines pace, distance and wrist-based heart rate tracking with Garmin Coach adaptive training plans and personalised daily suggested workouts, including Run-Walk workouts that evolve based on individual progress.

The smartwatch also offers advanced training capabilities such as Training Readiness, Training Status, Training Effect, HRV Status, Recovery Time, Acute Load, wrist-based Running Power and Running Dynamics, helping users better understand their performance while optimising training and recovery.

Designed for runners seeking deeper performance insights, the Forerunner 170 and Forerunner 170 Music build upon Garmin’s advanced training ecosystem with enhanced running metrics, recovery analysis and comprehensive wellness monitoring.

Featuring a 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, lightweight 43 mm case and up to 10 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, both devices provide advanced running metrics including wrist-based Running Dynamics, Running Power, Acute Load, Training Readiness, Training Status, HRV Status and Recovery Time, enabling users to better understand performance, optimise effort and improve recovery.

The devices also offer a comprehensive suite of wellness tools including all-day heart rate monitoring, Body Battery energy monitoring, Sleep Coach, stress tracking, respiration tracking, Morning Report, Evening Report and women’s health tracking, giving users a holistic view of their health and recovery. Supporting more than 80 built-in sports profiles, including running, cycling, swimming, HIIT, strength training, yoga and indoor workouts, the watches are designed to adapt to a wide variety of training routines.

The Garmin Forerunner 70 will be available from July 3, 2026, at a price of ₹32,990, through Garmin India’s official website, marketplace exclusive with Flipkart and authorised retail partners including Garmin Brand Stores, Just In Time, Helios, Reliance Digital, Malabar Watches and other leading outlets across India.

The Garmin Forerunner 170 will be available at an MRP of ₹39,490, while the Garmin Forerunner 170 Music will retail at an MRP of ₹45,990. Both models will be available from July 4, 2026, through Garmin India’s official website, marketplace exclusive with Amazon and authorised retail partners including Garmin Brand Stores, Just In Time, Helios, Reliance Digital, Malabar Watches and other leading outlets across India.

Online Sale Details: The Garmin Forerunner 70 will be available on Flipkart from 12:00 AM on July 3, 2026, with Early Access for Flipkart Plus members ahead of the general sale. The Garmin Forerunner 170 and Forerunner 170 Music will be available on Amazon from July 4, 2026.
