Mumbai, India, August 25, 2014: Housing.com, India’s first map based home search portal, today announced the revamp of its Housing App for iPhone and iPad users. The new version features a simplified and streamlined interface, improved navigation and a gesture based approach in design that promises to enhance customer experience.
Co-founder of Housing.com Advitiya Sharma said, “We are delighted to launch our new IOS app for users which are constantly on the go. The new app is one of the best designed real estate app globally which promises to take real estate users on the mobile to the next level. Nowadays, people are always on the move with customers constantly on the search for placed to rent, buy & sell. We are confident that the new app will resonate with the customers and completely refine their house hunting experience.”
Based on extensive customer research and insights, Housing.com’s revamped new iOS app dons new features which make it more user and ready friendly.
The new app is completely gesture based making browsing in map view more simplified by use of carousel navigation. Once the user starts browsing, all he/she needs to do is just swipe through carousel cards and the map adjusts to the location of the property automatically. In addition, the new app enables users to shortlist their favorite properties through a single swipe of the card downwards.
Housing.com has restructured the details view providing a reader friendly experience to its users. In the previous app all information such as ratings, amenities and location were shown together, making it difficult for users to read and understand it. The new design has a parallax effect which reveals itself when you scroll up, yet displaying all the information at one place.
Ratings have been meticulously assigned by Housing.com’s Data Sciences Lab Team to help users make informed choices. Tapping on the ratings button reveals locality, society and lifestyle rating of the property.
The amenities section has also been modified, to reduce information overload, by listing only four major amenities on the front screen and the rest of the categories has been moved to the more section.
Contacting the real estate agent or the landlord is only a tap away, as the redesigned app features details of the person listing the property and their contact details.
