Map View
The new app is completely gesture based making browsing in map view more simplified by use of carousel navigation. Once the user starts browsing, all he/she needs to do is just swipe through carousel cards and the map adjusts to the location of the property automatically. In addition, the new app enables users to shortlist their favorite properties through a single swipe of the card downwards.
Detail View
Housing.com has restructured the details view providing a reader friendly experience to its users. In the previous app all information such as ratings, amenities and location were shown together, making it difficult for users to read and understand it. The new design has a parallax effect which reveals itself when you scroll up, yet displaying all the information at one place.
Ratings have been meticulously assigned by Housing.com’s Data Sciences Lab Team to help users make informed choices. Tapping on the ratings button reveals locality, society and lifestyle rating of the property.
The amenities section has also been modified, to reduce information overload, by listing only four major amenities on the front screen and the rest of the categories has been moved to the more section.
Contacting the real estate agent or the landlord is only a tap away, as the redesigned app features details of the person listing the property and their contact details.
