Super Combo Selected as Winner of Distinguished IHA Global Award
Global appliance leader Equator Advanced Appliances’ Super Combo EZ 4400 CV has received a first place International Home + Housewares (IHA) Global Innovation Award (gia). Equator has long been recognized worldwide as an innovative problem-solving brand, and the EZ 4400 continues that stellar tradition. Winners for best in product innovation were announced Saturday evening during the invitation-only gia dinner at the IHA Show in Chicago. The Super Combo took first place in the Household Electrics + Home Environment category. The show continues through today.
The EZ 4400 CV is the latest evolution of Equator’s compact washer-dryer SuperCombo. The world’s first convertible venting/condensing machine is also the slimmest combo machine in North America. At just 33.5 x 23.5 x 22 inches (HxWxD), the 1200 RPM SuperCombo has a large 13 lb. load capacity and boasts energy- and time-saving features that have earned numerous design and industry awards. Along with its 14 programmable wash cycles, sensor dry and automatic water levels, it boasts the features of full size washers and dryers—merged into a single, compact design. It leaves existing energy standards behind as it taps into the stricter 2018 energy guidelines. Equator has targeted worldwide appliance needs for areas with little access to dependable utilities. It comes in white, silver, black and merlot, as well as a limited edition pink model.
The International Home + Housewares Show educates and inspires visitors with the best in trade practices and industry trends to strengthen their businesses. For the last four years, the IHA has called attention to the most excellent household product designs of their exhibitors with the IHA Global Innovation Awards. This year’s winners, for each of the 13 categories, were chosen by a panel of designers, retailers and media.
