The maiden budget of the new government seems to be a statement of balanced intentions with its focus being on ‘Technology for Governance and Inclusive Growth’ and on a futuristic growth which will affect the nation as a whole. The Incentives planned for the manufacture of semiconductors combined with a better tax structure can strengthen our IT industry. Liberalisation of FDI policies will provide much-needed certainty to foreign players, improve trade relations, generate employment opportunities and thus improve the Indian economy.
