K7 Group Restructures into Two Dedicated Businesses Ashok Harris Joins K7 CyberSecurity as Co-Founder and CEO

K7 Group announced a strategic restructuring of its operations into two dedicated businesses, K7 Computing, focused on consumer and small office/home office (SOHO) customers, and K7 CyberSecurity, focused on enterprise customers. As part of the realignment, Ashok Harris joins K7 CyberSecurity as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He will lead the company’s overall strategy, product direction, enterprise positioning and expansion across India and international markets.

Kesavardhanan Jayaraman, founder of K7 Group, will assume the role of Founder and Chief Technology Officer of K7 CyberSecurity, leading core technology, research and engineering. He will continue as Founder and CEO of K7 Computing.

The restructuring reflects the distinct needs of enterprises, which need integrated security across endpoints, networks, identities, cloud and critical applications. As AI adds complexity and enables more sophisticated attacks, these needs are becoming more pressing. The global cybersecurity market is projected to reach US$302 billion in 2026, according to Grand View Research, while IBM’s Cost of a Data Breach Report 2026 records a global average breach cost of US$4.99 million and a 56% year-on-year increase in AI-driven attacks. K7’s new structure enables K7 CyberSecurity to focus on enterprise needs, while K7 Computing continues to serve consumers and SOHO customers.

“Enterprise cybersecurity now requires strong prevention combined with visibility, detection and effective response,” said Kesavardhanan Jayaraman. “Dedicated businesses will allow us to align leadership, investment and innovation with each market. Ashok brings over 30 years of experience in building and scaling businesses globally. His experience will enable us to shape our enterprise strategy and translate customer needs into product direction, combining the research and engineering capabilities that we have built over the last more-than three decades with a sharper understanding of enterprise needs worldwide.”

Ashok Harris has held senior leadership roles at Hexaware Technologies and Mahindra Satyam, where he held global business leadership roles and led strategic sales, business transformation and international growth. He founded Mindquest Consulting in 2009.

“Artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping cybersecurity,” said Ashok Harris. “Attackers can use AI to develop sophisticated threats at greater speed and scale. At the same time, enterprises adopting AI must manage new risks involving data, identities, access, and autonomous systems. Disconnected security products and isolated alerts are not enough anymore. Businesses need prevention, detection, investigation, and response working together, supported by intelligent automation and human expertise.”

“Enterprise cybersecurity must become more customer-centric. The new structure reinforces the group’s ambition to build a globally competitive enterprise cybersecurity company, combining K7’s proprietary technology with simpler security operations, responsive service and a deep understanding of customer needs.” Ashok added.

Under Ashok’s leadership, K7 CyberSecurity will pursue four strategic priorities: strengthening enterprise market positioning through customer-centricity, driving product innovation to address emerging threats including AI-enabled attacks, simplifying security operations through more integrated capabilities, and accelerating growth through channel and strategic partnerships.

The company will expand its ecosystem of distributors, system integrators, managed service providers and managed security service providers to deepen customer relationships and extend market reach. Its strategy will be guided by three core principles: comprehensive protection, customer-centricity and simplicity.

The new structure brings together Jayaraman’s technology expertise and Ashok’s focus on enterprise strategy, product direction and commercial execution, positioning K7 CyberSecurity for its next phase of growth while K7 Computing continues serving consumer and SOHO customers.
