Autodesk Elevates Nikhil Bagalkotkar to spearhead the Architecture Engineering and Construction Business Across India and SAARC
Autodesk announced the elevation of Nikhil Bagalkotkar as the Head – Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), India and SAARC with immediate effect. In this role, he will lead the company’s AEC business strategy across the region and drive the adoption of Autodesk’s Design and Make platform while promoting the significance digital design and construction technologies, helping customers accelerate innovation and deliver more sustainable, resilient infrastructure.
In his new role, Bagalkotkar will focus on expanding Autodesk’s AEC business, strengthening customer and partner engagement, and accelerating the adoption of digital workflows that improve project outcomes across the design, engineering and construction lifecycle.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a seasoned technology and business leader, Bagalkotkar brings extensive industry expertise to the role. He has been with Autodesk for seven years and most recently served as the Head of Technical Sales for India. During this time, he worked closely with Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and partner teams, enabling organizations across industries to embrace digital transformation through innovative design, engineering and construction solutions.

Nikhil’s experience spans customer success, market development and ecosystem collaboration, anchored in a vision to make technology a catalyst for innovation and sustainable infrastructure development across India. Prior to Autodesk, he held leadership positions at Citrix, IBM and EMC Systems, where he served in various technical and business leadership roles, including Chief Technologist. Bagalkotkar holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), Pune.
