DigitalOcean Helping Startups To Grow And Scale Through Hatch Program

DigitalOcean is a cloud services platform developers love and businesses trust to run production applications at scale. They provide highly available, secure and scalable compute, storage and networking solutions that help developers build great software faster. DigitalOcean, the cloud computing platform for developers, organized Hatch Founders’ Circle, an event marked by talks for a curated audience of founders, investors and start-up enablers at WeWork, Mumbai. The objective of the event was to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to learn from each other and an opportunity to connect with other high-potential founders and investors.

The event included a fireside chat with Arihant Patni (Managing Director, Ideaspring Capital), and a Hatch Founder Stories session where founders Manoj Gudi (Founder and CTO, GetFocus), Anil Amesur (Founder and CEO, Transportex), and Sanket Sarang (Founder and CTO, BlobCity) shared their experiences on a myriad of topics, including fund raising, overcoming business challenges and how they scaled their businesses. The event also saw Amit Sarda and Natasha Tuli (Co-founders of Soulflower) share their unconventional growth story and an investor panel discussion with Rajesh Sehgal (Managing Partner, Equanimity Investments) and Anu Aggarwal from Indian Angel Network.

Some of the key highlights of the event were:

  • In a candid fireside chat, Mr. Arihant Patni shared his experiences of working with the Indian technology sector since the 80’s and the learnings through this journey. He also spoke about the changing landscape of the investor community in India and shared tips on how founders should manage and strengthen their relationship with investors. He also touched upon the exciting opportunities that lies ahead in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as it applies to the health tech, fintech, and consumer sectors.
  • The Investor panel discussion with Mr. Rajesh Sehgal and Ms. Anu Aggarwal de-bunked some common myths associated with fund-raising. The panel also spoke about pre-requisites a startup should meet before looking to raise investments and also shared tips around valuation and best practices to work with the angel and VC communities.
