8K Miles acquires SERJ Solutions to enhance healthcare cloud offering

Through its US subsidiary, 8K Miles has acquired SERJ, a provider of innovative Epic EHR consulting, custom application development, and support solutions for the healthcare market. This will help 8K Miles to serve hospitals and healthcare providers by providing the industry’s first truly end-to-end Software as a Service (SaaS) technology platform.

This move solidifies 8K Miles’ goal to offer a unique and differentiated cloud-managed solution to the healthcare sector by leveraging its expertise in cloud solutions, Big Data analytics, cloud security framework as well as identity management services and thus help healthcare providers to cut down the costs.

In the second quarter ended September 30, 2014, the company had posted a profit after tax of Rs 4.14 crore, up 31.43 crore compared to Rs 3.15 crore in previous quarter. Revenue during the same period climbed 29 percent to Rs 27.08 crore from Rs 20.99 crore.
