MapR Inaugurates New R&D Center in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, India, December 18, 2015: MapR Technologies Inc., provider of the only converged data platform that integrates the power of Hadoop and Spark with global event streaming, real-time database capabilities, and enterprise storage, today, announced the opening of its new R&D Center in Hyderabad signalling the company’s larger plans for the Indian market and an increased presence in the country.
The new R & D Center comes as a consequence of proven demand for MapR products and solutions in India, where companies are investing in Hadoop technology to increase engagement and customer loyalty. The R & D Center is an 11,000 square feet facility. Along with increased presence in the country, MapR expects 100% growth in employees in a year’s time. The company will add laboratories, professional services and account teams as they continue to expand.
