SSC JE Exam Pattern- SSC JE Exam is conducted in two different sessions- morning shift and afternoon shift. It is two-stage exam – Written exam and Interview. Each stage is qualifying in nature.

SSC JE Marking System:

Get here marking system in junior engineer examination 2017. JE Stage 1 exam has total sum of 500 marks. Which comprises of paper 1 & 2 both. As per SSC JE Exam Pattern, Paper 1 is basically computer based exam which has weight-age of 200 hours whereas paper 2 has 300 marks.

Above all you need clear the cut off marks to reach the second round. Second stage is Interview process in which basic question is asked. You can download the sample interview question of SSC JE Exam on below links. Sample questions can give you better idea of interview process.

Negative Marking:

Paper 1 – It carries 1/4 (.25) marks for each wrong answer. Please remember it is objective type question paper.

Paper 2- It is Conventional type/subjective type question paper so no negative marking is there.

Questions are based on topics, Principles, Linear Measurement, Angular Measurement & Levelling, Contouring, Tachometric Survey

Hydraulics → 10-12 Qs,
Strength of Materials → 10-12 Qs, calculative & time consuming numerical
Questions are based on Column, SFD, Principle Stress, Spring

RCC Design → 10-12 Qs
Steel Design → 8-9 Qs
Questions based on Prestress Concrete were asked.

Estimating, Costing and Valuation → 5-6 Qs, Knowledge in depth is required for answering questions of this topic.
Soil Mechanics → 2-3 Qs
Irrigation Engineering → 3-5 Qs
Transportation Engineering → 3-4 Qs, Highways & Railways based questions.
