Blue Star Infotech’s testing solutions powers global launch of Hewlett-Packard’s new cloud based app ‘Touchpoint Manager’
Mumbai, India, March 25, 2015: Blue Star Infotech, the global software solutions and services provider strengthened its alliance with Hewlett-Packard as its testing solutions contributed significantly towards the global launch of HP’s new cloud based app “Touchpoint Manager” in record time. “HP Touchpoint Manager” is a powerful cloud-based app that enables its customers to control and manage a broad range of devices running on iOS, Android and Windows across different brands in a simple & secure way.
The cloud based app addresses the issue of central monitoring and security challenges when multiple devices are being used. The app is launched with the objective of simplifying everyday IT management tasks for small and medium business segments with limited IT resources functioning across different devices, brands and operating systems. The app increases productivity by minimizing downtime and offers an array of services such as tracking of lost devices, monitoring hard-disk health and virus protection from any device – desktop, notebook, smartphone or tablet, on Windows, Android, or iOS.

A 12 member strong team from BSIL designed a comprehensive and rigorous testing strategy catering to HP’s unique needs that kept error rate to a bare minimum level in the app. The process involved a combination of manual, performance, automation and security testing techniques that covered a wide spectrum of OS/device configurations. Regression Automation process has made the application stable in lesser time with multiple regression cycle spread across multiple devices and browsers. The entire testing strategy kept the process smoother with no production issues after the launch. Also the testing process is expected to save another 20-30% cost in next phases via automation of regression testing. BSIL also set up a full-fledged offshore mobile testing lab that resulted in cost saving of around 50% for Hewlett-Packard (Cost saving in INR)
