Viber launches free-to-play action-packed racing shooter game “Rude Rider”

New Delhi, India, January 27, 2016: Viber has launched Rude Rider, a free-to-play action-packed racing shooter game. Rude Rider allows players to race through traffic, blow up cars, helicopters, tanks and any other obstacles in their way. Rudy taunts and insults players with his signature attitude and sarcasm throughout the game. Players collect coins as they shoot obstacles, and use them to customize their cars buying boosters, weapons and shields and more. Viber Connect adds a social layer to the game, allowing players to smash their way to the top of the game leaderboard competing against their Viber friends, send them gifts and brag about their achievements. Beginning today, people can start playing Rude Rider for free on iPhone and Android.

“The Viber Games platform continues to grow and we’re excited to add our first racing game, Rude Rider, to the portfolio,” said Michael Shmilov, COO of Viber. “We are constantly improving our integration with games to improve players’ social experience. We have big plans for 2016 and Rude Rider is the first game of many.”

Viber is focusing on long-term partnerships with game studios in order to maximize each game’s potential at launch and beyond. The plan is to add a wide variety of games to the Viber Games platform, with a view to building the offering to 20+ games this year. In the last quarter of 2015, Viber launched Wonderball co-produced with MoonActive. The game gained more than 1M downloads in its first month. In December 2015, Viber launched Backgammon, which was co-produced with Come2Play.
