KPMG in India Teams with CyberArk to Deliver Identity Security Solutions

KPMG in India announced it is working with CyberArk to combine the CyberArk Identity Security Platform with KPMG in India’s advisory services to enable clients to benefit from advanced solutions to help safeguard against insider and external cyber threats.

Organisations fast-tracking digital transformation and cloud initiatives have driven an increase in identities (both human and non-human) – inadvertently creating a conducive environment for cyberattacks. Threat actors frequently target these identities, especially those with elevated privileges, using them to gain access to an organisation’s most critical systems and data. Securely managing privileged access in a constantly-evolving threat landscape is a major challenge for organisations.

Within this landscape, organisations recognise the increasing need for Identity Security solutions, centered on privileged access management, to better protect against threats posed by credential theft and privilege misuse. Together, KPMG in India and CyberArk will work with organisations to help them establish a framework with essential least privilege and Zero Trust-based access controls, strengthening their security posture by implementing a programme that can help to reduce risks and protect brand reputation while realising security and regulatory objectives with fewer internal resources.

KPMG in India’s cyber transformation capabilities, backed by skilled and experienced professionals combined with CyberArk’s Identity Security solutions are a potent combination that can help organisations address a wide range of use cases to secure privileged credentials and secrets in the cloud and across hybrid IT environments.

Atul Gupta, Partner and Leader – Cyber Security and Digital Trust, KPMG in India, said, “As attack surface continues to grow with massive adoption of digital tech, organisations have recognised the need to prioritise Identity Security. There is a recognition that this is imperative to instil trust and reliability across the hybrid digital environment. Along with CyberArk, we shall be designing, developing and deploying Identity Security programmes that will go long way in threat reduction, minimising enterprise risk and providing measurable results that resonate with C-suite stakeholders,” added Gupta.

Raghavendra BV, Partner and Head, Cyber Transformation Services, KPMG in India said, “Increasingly CIOs are focusing on securing identities, making this an important component of their risk management strategies. A common thread across breaches is a compromise of administrative-level credentials, which in a way holds the key to the whole IT kingdom, making them a preferred target of external attackers and malicious insiders. Together with CyberArk we aim to help organisations protect and monitor access, as well as detect, alert, and respond to threats targeting privileged access ‒ before irreparable damage happens.”

Rohan Vaidya, Regional Director, India, CyberArk, said, “As one of our key global advisory partners, KPMG collaborates with CyberArk in many parts of the world. We’re glad to extend this relationship to India, so that organisations here can leverage KPMG’s expertise and CyberArk’s Identity Security solutions to improve their security posture as they continue their digital transformation journeys.”
