Mumbai, India, March 18, 2015: UCWeb, a leading provider of mobile internet software technology and application services today announced a new milestone with UC browsers crossing an aggregate of 20 million downloads on Mobango, the No.1 mobile hub for apps, games and videos in India. This development makes UC browsers the most popular browser brand on the store by downloads and the No.1 mobile browser in India with over 42% market share, according to StatCounter.

India is amongst the largest markets in the world when it comes to mobile Internet adoption and app downloads. In 2014 alone, downloads grew more than 100% compared to the previous year. A majority of these downloads from Mobango were for the Android versions of the two products-UC Browser and UC Browser Mini.

Commenting on the success of the platform, Badri Sanjeevi, CEO Mauj Mobile said, “At Mobango, we have always worked to deliver app success for our developers. We are very happy to have achieved this milestone for UCWeb. The phenomenal success highlights UC Browser’s superior product and brand recognition in India as well as Mobango’s strong distribution capabilities.”
