Sonata Information Technology Signs Five-Year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS to Accelerate Cloud Modernization in India
Sonata Software announced that Sonata Information Technology Limited (SITL), its domestic business, has signed a five-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate cloud adoption and modernization for enterprises across India. The agreement advances Sonata’s hyperscaler-led growth strategy and expands its ability to address cloud transformation opportunities in the Indian market. The companies will pursue a joint go-to-market (GTM) strategy in India to address the growing AI and cloud transformation opportunity.
Under the agreement, Sonata will invest in dedicated AWS-focused sales, presales, technical, and delivery capabilities, while expanding joint go-to-market efforts across BFSI, retail, manufacturing, IT, and healthcare industries. The collaboration will also enable Sonata to leverage AWS programs including Migration Acceleration Program and Managed Services Program that support complex cloud transformation initiatives and help customers move from legacy technology environments to modern cloud architectures. These investments are intended to create a more integrated model for identifying opportunities and supporting customers through execution.
By bringing together Sonata’s modernization engineering capabilities with AWS across key modernization and AI initiatives, the partnership will focus on greater adoption of Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon EC2, Amazon EKS, and AWS Transform. The companies aim to help enterprises improve resilience, increase operational agility, and create scalable foundations for digital and AI-led transformation. The collaboration is also expected to support larger, more complex engagements as organizations in India increase investments in cloud-led modernization.
The five-year horizon gives Sonata the ability to deepen its AWS practice, align technical and go-to-market resources around customer priorities, and pursue transformation programs that require sustained execution at scale. As a premier partner of AWS, Sonata’s investments and transformation in building the AWS business has positioned it for exponential growth with this SCA being a core mechanism.
