Nasscom – Indiaspora to host Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard
Bengaluru, India, December 18, 2014: The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) and Indiaspora to host United States Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard at an exclusive event on entrepreneurship and development of innovation eco system. The event will bring pioneers from technology industry and prominent entrepreneurs for an interaction with Congresswoman Gabbard.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Bengaluru. The event, which will be a luncheon followed by a roundtable, is focused at leveraging technology eco system and highlight and promote innovation. This is also a platform to explore opportunities for U.S. India partnerships amongst entrepreneurs and leaders in the technology space in the face of deepening U.S. India ties.
Congresswoman Gabbard is on a three-week tour to India following an official invite from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bengaluru is one of the cities selected for the official visit, held whilst the US Congress is out of session, including New Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

Representing Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is one of the first two female combat veterans and the first Hindu to ever serve as a member of the U.S. Congress. Representative Gabbard also serves on the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans which is considered to be the driver of India-US bilateral relationship.
NASSCOM, the industry association of IT and IT enabled products and services industry in India is instrumental in facilitating business and trade in the sector. Indiaspora aims to unite the professionally, geographically and religiously diverse community of Indian Americans by identifying issues, debating outcomes and recommending actionable solutions.
