MyGov and Google to organize Live chat to discuss PMO Mobile App Initiative

MyGov-web-platformNew Delhi, India, March 13, 2015: In an effort to engage a wider audience for the PMO App contest, MyGov in collaboration with Google will organize an hour-long online chat session between 4:00-5:00 pm on Monday, 16th March 2015.

Hashtagged #PMOIndiaApp, the chat session which will be held on Twitter, led by a panel of experts including RS Sharma, IT Secretary, Government of India, Rajan Anandan, VP and Managing Director, Google – South East Asia and India, Gaurav Dwivedi,CEO, MyGov and Amit Agarwal, India’s leading Tech Blogger. The chat will be open to general public for sharing their opinions, ideas and suggestions and even ask questions related to the initiative from the panelists by using the chat hashtag.

MyGov, the  citizen engagement platform of the Government of India recently announced the launch of a nationwide contest to build the mobile app for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). This contest is being held across the country, at different institutions & colleges and has invited participation from all Indian citizens living anywhere in the world. Spread over the next three months, this initiative has been bifurcated into three phases of Ideation, Wireframe development and App development. The shortlisted app will be presented to the PMO and the developers of the winning App will get a chance to visit the headquarters of Google in the US.
