Mi 4 (16GB) now available for Rs. 14,999, down from Rs. 19,999

Xiaomi-Mi 4New Delhi, India, June 18, 2015: Mi India has announced that Mi 4 (16GB) is now available for Rs. 14,999, down Rs. 5000 from the original launch price of Rs. 19,999. Mi fans can purchase Mi 4 at this new price from Mi.com and Flipkart starting tonight.

Xiaomi has sold 1 crore Mi 4 phones worldwide. Hugo Barra, Vice President of Xiaomi Global, celebrated the milestone with fans and media in New Delhi, and showcased a myriad of creative ways to use the Mi 4, which included controlling drones and remote control cars.

Mi 4 was launched in India in January this year. Thanks to the support of Mi fans, the first sale of Mi 4 (16GB) went out of stock in 15 seconds, while the first sale of Mi 4 (64GB) went out of stock within a minute. Over the past few months, Mi 4 has been available in open sale through various channels in India.

Mi 4 is a flagship device featuring a precisely engineered stainless steel frame that gives the phone its signature craftsmanship. Turning one single 309g Austenite 304 steel plate into an elegant 19g steel frame is a process that requires an incredible amount of work: it takes 32 hours of processing time, spanning 40 steps and 193 processes.

Mi 4 features a 5” IPS Full HD display that is incredibly sharp with a pixel density of 441 PPI. It was also revealed today that Mi 4 now comes with the all-new Sunlight Display, which dynamically adjusts the contrast of each pixel for crystal-clear images even under direct sunlight.

Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB or 64GB Flash, Mi 4 is a powerful device that can handle multiple tasks with ease. A 3080mAh battery coupled with Quick Charge 2.0 support allows Mi 4 to last 1.5 days on a single charge.

With a 13MP ƒ/1.8 rear camera made by Sony, Mi 4 takes beautiful pictures that are made incredible by its industry-leading HDR mode. The front-facing 8MP camera, also made by Sony,with an ƒ/1.8 aperture and an 80-degree wide angle lens, is great for selfies, especially when coupled with the next-generation Beautify mode, a built-in tool that guesses age and gender to apply one of 36 beauty profiles.
