Lenovo partners with Paytm for cashless purchases
Lenovo has partnered with Paytm to ensure a hassle-free cashless transaction that will benefit laptop buyers who are facing cash crunch due to demonetization of Rs.1000 and Rs.500. This initiative will enabledigital acceptance of payments at select Lenovo Exclusive and multi-brand stores.
The initiative is also beneficial to Lenovo’s channel partners as they can start accepting digital payments from consumers by enrolling with Paytm as merchants. Consumers can be at ease as they can go cashless with their Paytm wallets. This initiative is currently getting rolled out in 40 cities covering 350 top Retail partners of Lenovo.
In addition to this, Lenovo has introduced special zero interest EMI option which will allow consumers to purchase any Lenovo laptop with zero down payment at the time of purchase.
Announcing this initiative, Rajesh Thadani, Head & Executive Director – Consumer, Online and E-commerce, Lenovo India said “We have designed these schemes specially for our consumers and channel partners so that they can have a convenient and comfortable buying experience. By offering multiple payment options, we are offering more choice to both our consumers and partners.”
Speaking on the partnership, Kiran Vasireddy, Senior Vice President, Paytm said, “With increase in disposable incomes, India has emerged as one of the largest markets for electronic goods in the world. Paytm is glad to collaborate with Lenovo to enable consumers to make quick and easy mobile payments through Paytm in all their major exclusive and multi-brand stores across the country. This will not only eliminate the hassle of paying in cash for big-ticket purchases, but also bring us a step closer to our vision of a truly cashless India.”
Lenovo has also collaborated with Pine Labs to allow smooth conversion of transactions to EMI. Through the technology provided by Pine Labs, consumers can convert their credit card transactions to EMI at the Point Of Sale (POS).
Lenovo’s entire notebook portfolio is covered under the above mentioned initiatives. The Zero down payment scheme is valid till November 30th, 2016.
