FUJIFILM India Dedicates First “Made in India” EP-6000 Endoscopy System to AIIMS, New Delhi
FUJIFILM India dedicated the first “Made in India” EP-6000 Endoscopy System, bearing serial number 001, to the nation through the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, called upon Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare & Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India to commemorate the launch. Following the inauguration of endoscopy manufacturing in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, earlier this year, the dedication marks the next milestone in FUJIFILM India’s endoscopy journey in India and its commitment to the Government of India’s Make in India initiative.
The Fujifilm EP-6000 Endoscopy System is the first “Made in India” Fujifilm Endoscopy System manufactured at the company’s contract manufacturing facility. The dedication of the first system, bearing serial number 001, to the nation through AIIMS represents an important milestone in FUJIFILM India’s contribution to India’s medical technology manufacturing journey and reflects the shared commitment of the Government, AIIMS and FUJIFILM India towards strengthening India’s healthcare infrastructure through innovation, technology and local manufacturing.
Prof Nikhil Tandon, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, said, “AIIMS has a longstanding commitment to advancing patient care through the adoption of cutting-edge medical technologies and clinical innovation. Prof. Pramod Garg, Professor and Head, Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit, AIIMS, New Delhi, said,“We are happy that that manufacturing for endoscopes has been established in India.
