Health deal wins Uninor’s ‘Internet For All Challenge’ Circle finale
Agra, India, September 22, 2014: Uninor, India’s fastest growing telecom operator, has announced the winner of the circle finale of UP West which will go to the final round in Delhi in mid-October. The eminent jury finalized upon the idea related to Healthcare. The idea is to cut down the cost of medicines and basically to omit the doctors and Markey representatives commission which are integral part of branded medicines. The solution is to make people aware about the genetic drugs through internet and Help them locate the same. This will save a huge amount of money of every Section of the society and will lead to a philanthropic India. The winner represents the circle at the national finals and may go on to win one of the two seats to the Telenor Youth Summit 2014.
The Internet for All Challenge 2014 provides two young Internet enthusiasts a chance to represent India at the Telenor Youth Summit 2014, Oslo, Norway. The Telenor Youth Summit is held in collaboration with the Nobel Peace Center.
The Internet for All Challenge 2014 calls upon this generation of digital natives to use technology innovatively and find solutions to pressing social needs, empower societies, drive inclusive growth and promote meaningful dialogue for peace across the globe.
“This was a tough call as all the ideas presented were very innovative. We finalized upon the idea with the eminent jury members. Innovation is a key to build relevant Internet penetration, localize content and narrow down the rural-urban digital divide. To help youth in building the best transformative tool, Uninor has provided this platform which not only gives voice to the idea, but endevours to support the development of the thought with the advice of the eminent jury members,” said, Pooja Thakran, Chief Communication Officer and CSR Head, Uninor.
On this occasion the Circle Business Head for UP West, KC Narendran said, “I would like to personally thank all the participants to have come up with such innovative ideas. We received much more than we anticipated and are really delighted with the enthusiasm shown by the youth. We wish good luck to the final winner.”

The seven finalists from each Uninor’s operating circles and Delhi will be competing in the final round to be held in Delhi on October 16th, 2014. They will be judged basis the potential of their idea, ease of commercial viability to ensure self-sustainability and the prominence of their oratory and presentation skill in creatively articulating their idea. An external jury including Top personalities from the fields of technology, social service, internet and telecom industries as well as the CEO of Uninor and Head of Telenor Asia will be drawn for evaluation.
The three winners will get a cash prize to help them promote their idea for adoption. The first winner will get a cash prize of INR 1 Lac and an all expense paid trip to Oslo to attend the Telenor Youth Summit, the second winner will get a cash prize of INR 50,000 and an all expense paid trip to Oslo to attend the Telenor Youth Summit. The runner up will be awarded a cash prize of INR 50,000.
