Syntel launches Digital One and Managed Services Organization

Syntel-logoNew Delhi, India, June 1, 2014: Syntel, a global provider of digital transformation, information technology and knowledge process services to Global 2000 companies, has announced the creation of a new internal group, Digital One. The formation of this group follows the launch of the Company’s Digital One service line, announced last month.

Digital One will enable Syntel’s clients to achieve digital enterprise transformations through smart adoption of mobility, cloud, social, Big Data analytics and Internet of Things technology.

Syntel CEO and President Nitin Rakesh said, “Digital technologies are disrupting every industry, but the extent and scope of this impact is unique for every organization. Digital One takes a holistic approach that combines digital expertise with industry knowledge and enterprise systems experience to create business value for our clients.”

Syntel also announced the establishment of a new delivery group called the Managed Services Organization (MSO) to industrialize “run-the-business” services.

Syntel’s Managed Services Organization will leverage industrialization, automation and cloud migration to drive greater efficiency through integrated delivery of application and infrastructure services.

“Organizations are driving new sources of value from existing technology investments and moving to ‘as-a-service’ models,” said Rakesh. “MSO will deliver a new paradigm of innovation for mission critical services to Syntel clients with our proprietary MIII: Manage–Migrate–Modernize offering.”

The company has identified two experienced Syntel leaders to lead the newly formed organizations.

Sameer Arora, currently Syntel’s Vice President of Marketing, will lead Digital One. Sameer joined Syntel eight years ago and possesses 20 years of consulting and management experience in the areas of business strategy, marketing and technology.

Ram Singampalli, currently the Company’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, will lead the Managed Services Organization. Ram is an IT industry veteran and has spent over two decades at Syntel in client-facing, delivery and corporate leadership roles.
