HMFI India expectations from the new government

Quote from Mr. Mehel Lanvers-Shah, Managing Director, HMFI India on his expectations from the new Government in the IT industry:

“The expectations from the new government are the highest in almost a decade. We are witnessing the IT industry enter the budgeting sessions on a positive note with government and industry working towards a common goal of development. For the better future of electronic manufacturing in the country, we anticipate the government to take forward the ESDM policy and place India in the global map by policy reforms and increased investments. The industry hopes that the new government will frame better policies to support IT infrastructure, regulations, develop local markets and maintain a better ecosystem. Another key expectation is for the Government to provide encouragement to local entrepreneurs and an effective policy framework to support their growth. Overall, we can expect new markets, better job opportunities and India’s increased presence in the global market.”
