In line with Ericsson’s recent announcement about the changes to its business strategy, structure and Executive Team, Nunzio Mirtillo is appointed as Head of Market Area South East Asia, Oceania and India.
In this role, Nunzio has responsibility for Ericsson’s business across markets such as India, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines and Bangladesh.
Nunzio brings to the position broad experience from his 29-year career with Ericsson, including roles in solutions development, sales, marketing and delivery. Most recently, he has been Head of Region Mediterranean, responsible for Ericsson’s business and operations across 25 countries.
Ericsson’s reorganization from 10 Regions to 5 Market Areas and 4 Business Units to 3 Business Areas aims to increase efficiency and speed up time-to-market and customer responsiveness.

As part of his appointment, Nunzio becomes a member of Ericsson’s Executive Team. Ways of working for the new structure will be solidified by the Executive Team over the coming months.
