New Delhi, India, March 31, 2015: Talview, an automated video interview platform that assists organisations in screening and hiring candidates faster, was recently declared as one of the five startups who won the UK based contest, Great Tech Rocketships. The event was organized by the UK Trade & Investment in partnership with TechHub and iSpirt.
Besides Talview, Congruent Solutions, FRILP.com, Tone Tag and Agrima Infotech were announced as winners of the contest. The winners including Talview were part of a delegation which got a chance to interact with local entrepreneurs of London and Manchester and with leading technology companies regarding possibilities of collaborations and joint ventures. This helped Talview in understanding the business landscape of these areas to tap the right opportunities. Also, the UK government offered Talview with freework space in the world class start up facility, The Landing, which is part of the Media City in Manchester.
Talview CEO Sanjoe Jose who represented the company in the delegation said “The one week spent in UK gave us lot of exposure about way of doing business, the market potential and opportunities. UKTI and TechHub organized lot of interactions with key stakeholders in the local ecosystem. This opportunity was presented to us at the right moment as we were already considering making UK our headquarters of planned European operations. We also learned that there are many important regions like Manchester and Birmingham in addition to London to evaluate as the location to set up our presence within UK.”
Talview also bagged a one-year membership in TechHub, providing it access to its co-working centres in Boston, London and Bengaluru. Evaluating the feasibility of making the UK the focal point for foraying into European markets, Talview and the UKTI Investment Services team are working together to make this possibility come true. The British Deputy High Commissioner also felicitated Talview and other winners during a press release held before Queen’s Birthday Party in Chennai.
