New Delhi, India, February 01, 2015: Orange Business Services has been positioned as Leader in the IDC MarketScape Asia Pacific Next-Generation Telcos: Telecom Services 2014–2015 Vendor Assessment, Oct 2014. The report evaluates the ability of leading regional and global telecommunications service providers in Asia Pacific to meet the information communications technology (ICT) needs of enterprises and governments across the region.
In the report, IDC recognizes that the Orange vision to be the “trusted partner for customers’ digital transformation” has helped in creating a differentiated customer experience. It points to the Orange capabilities in cloud, collaboration, networks, applications and security, combined with in-region local expertise and integration capabilities.
IDC has attributed Orange’s leadership in the report to a number of key strengths, which include:
- Capabilities in M2M in Asia Pacific: “Orange has 160 staff based in Taiwan, Singapore, and India focusing on M2M deployment and application development. Its Orange Labs in Beijing and Tokyo have been focusing on M2M-related research work such as on mobile connected objects and wearables. […] Globally, the provider also has about 50 employees in business intelligence or Big Data and is bringing Big Data analytics to the region as Orange moves from M2M toward IoT, combining capabilities in cloud and Big Data.”
- End-to-end capabilities in cloud and IT integration skills: “Orange offers a suite of cloud and cloud-based solutions — ranging from IaaS (multitenant, dedicated private, or customized), storage as a service, contact center as a service, Unified Communication (UC) as a service, to cloud-based fleet management and telecare/telehealth solutions — and has captured a number of local wins for these offerings. […] It has capabilities to integrate enterprises’ legacy infrastructures with advanced technologies, enabling customers to fully capitalize on their past investments while helping them in their digital transformation journey.”
- Success in capturing contracts from Asia-based enterprises and in-country deals: “[Orange] has been able to win a number of transformational deals with Asia-based global MNCs. These deals involve a wide range of solutions beyond networks such as security, UC, contact center, and others.”
Patrick Sim, Senior Vice President – Asia Pacific, Orange Business Services said, “Orange has a vision to be the trusted partner of our customer’s digital transformation journey in Asia Pacific. We are focusing on key growth areas of cloud infrastructure, M2M applications, advanced collaboration solutions and network expansion, which are important for our sustained leadership in IDC MarketScape. We will continue to invest in advanced digital solutions in the region and integrate them with our extensive network to provide a comprehensive service to our customers in a seamless way.”
Orange serves at least 2,000 enterprise customers in the region, and has robust network infrastructure, solution centers, a local service desk, R&D centers (Orange Labs), a security operation center (SOC), and a complex deals bid team to expand its capabilities in the region.
