Gameloft, a leading digital and social game publisher, in collaboration with Mattel and Sony Pictures Consumer Products, today announces the launch of an exclusive Ghostbusters themed update for the UNO & FRIENDS game. For a limited time only and just in time for the new Ghostbusters movie release on July 15, 2016 in India, players will be able to experience Ghostbusters in a brand new UNO way, thanks to the biggest content update ever brought to the hit social card game.
This Ghostbusters themed update has a number of features to commemorate one of the most iconic movie franchise of all time. Players will have the opportunity to play as a real Ghostbuster and collect limited-edition Ghostbusters avatars from the new and classic movies. Then take on four haunted New York locations and show the angry apparitions how they do things downtown. Players will also be able to collect and raise memorable ghouls and ghosts from the movies, such as Slimer and many more!
“We are very enthusiastic to collaborate with Mattel and Sony Pictures Consumer Products to offer players a brand new UNO™ way to play by immersing them into one of the most iconic universes of all time” states Baudouin Corman, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing at Gameloft.
This update also marks the three-year anniversary of UNO & FRIENDS. In that time, the game has hit a number of notable milestones including being downloaded by over 82 million people and having racked up over 2.4 billion games. That’s enough game time to last 6.2 million days!
“Given Gameloft’s expertise in gaming, we know players will enjoy the Ghostbusters integration, which is filled with entertaining and innovative gameplay,” explains Mark Caplan, Senior Vice President at Sony Pictures Consumer Products. “We look forward to seeing the excitement of our franchise into this popular social game.”
Gameloft, part of Vivendi group, pursues its consistent, long term commitment to delighting UNO & FRIENDS’ players with exclusive and exciting new content update after update.
