Huawei AppGallery announced its tie-up with MapmyIndia, India’s player in premium-quality digital map data, APIs, GPS navigation, telematics, IoT, location-based SaaS and GIS Solutions. The AppGallery on-boards MapmyIndia’s flagship Move app as the company’s official digital map partner to offer users an advanced navigation experience on HONOR and Huawei devices.
With a 25 year old legacy, MapmyIndia is a pioneer of the digital map service in the country, which brings the most detailed, accurate and comprehensive interactive maps and navigation app to one of the most trusted marketplace, the AppGallery. Under this collaboration, the Move app will come preloaded onto all the upcoming HONOR and Huawei range of devices in India.
The AppGallery users will now have access to high precision maps including high definition 3D, house, and building-level detail, superimposed with live traffic and safety information. The Move app also provides the Smart Mobility Platform to address the emerging needs of safety, convenience and efficiency in the automotive industry and among vehicle owners and users.
Additionally, real-time services such as opening of new store, installation of public hotspots, etc. being constantly added to the map, will enrich the need of AppGallery users at a hyperlocal level. The recent integration of full 3D content in the app, using augmented and virtual reality will further allow HONOR and Huawei users to experience the world using the virtual travelling solutions in maps, from their continuous work from home environment.
