Vivo has launched a new Smartphone Vivo V9 in India Priced at Rs 22990. The device comes with 19:9 Display(6.3-inch) with iPhone X like notch on the front. The display resolution of the device is 1080 x 2280 pixels with 400 PPI density. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based Funtouch OS 4.0, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 Chipset, Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Vivo V9 is a dual SIM Smartphone and supports Nano-SIM Card on it. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 256 GB using a dedicated Micro SD Card. We have been using this device for a while and below are few interesting features about Vivo V9.
19:9 Display & Notch
Vivo V9 comes with a huge 19:9 Display (6.3-inch) IPS Display with Capacitive touch screen with an iPhone X Notch on the front. This 6.3-inch Display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection and offers 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. The Display looks great while playing High-End Games and Watching Videos on it.
The Secondary Camera on the device is of 24 Mega Pixels with f/2.0 aperture and records 1080p Videos. This Camera is present in the notch region beside the Speaker Grills. As ViVo V9 is selfie centric device, the 24 MP camera helps you to captures Selfie’s with an immense Clarity. The best part about this device is that it captures live images from the front camera. There is a beauty Mode option, which helps in color correction of your skin and helps in capturing the best image.
The device comes with iPhone X like Vertical camera setup on the back panel along with LED Flashlight below it. The Dual Camera is of 16 MP + 5 MP with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection AutoFocus on it. Using this camera you can record Ultra HD, Slow Motion and Time Lapse Videos. There is an option where you can convert the capture image into a doc. The other feature of the camera includes Live Capture, Boken Effect(Portrait), Panorama and AR Stickers.
AR Stickers are the virtual effects which can be applied live while capturing photo on your smartphone. To use this open the camera app and head over to the AR Section, which is on the extreme right. Now select the type of Sticker that you want to apply and capture the image.
The best feature about Vivo V9 is App Clone, using which you can use multiple Social Accounts(Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram) at the same time. To use this on your Vivo v9, open the settings and click on App Clone and toggle the button adjacent to respective social app to duplicate it on your home screen. Once the App is created you can use two accounts at the same time.
One-Handed Mode, helps you to operate your device with a single hand by reducing the screen size. To use this on your device, open the settings and tap on One handed Mode, now toggle the option to enable that you device. To reduce the screen size you need to swipe the finger from right to left and then drag diagonally to the bottom. There is an additional option where you can reduce the keyboard size.
The general method to capture a screenshot is you need to press the Power button and volume down button. Vivo V9 comes with an option where you need to swipe three fingers from top to bottom to capture the screenshot. To enable this on your device, open the settings, head over to the bottom of the screen and toggle the option to enable it on your V9.
The VivoV9 comes with fingerprint Sensor on the rear. Smart Click Option helps you to capture image just by touching your fingerprint sensor. To use this option on your device, open the settings and tap on Smart Click. Further, you need to toggle the option to enable that on your device. This option is helpful while capturing Selfie on your device.
Smart Motion Option on your Vivo V9 includes, Flip to Mute, where you need to flip your Smartphone to mute the incoming call. Double tap to wake, you need to tap on the display twice to wake the screen and vice-vera.
