Chennai, India, January 05, 2014: The Polaris Group, under the aegis of the Chief Design Officer’s Office (CDOO) has launched its first-ever ‘8012 Design Talks’ – a series of monthly interactive sessions and demonstrations with leading innovators who apply Design Thinking in their respective fields to effect formidable change. The inaugural session took place earlier today at the Polaris 8012FT Design Center by Dr. Jayanti Ravi, IAS, Commissioner – Higher Education, Government of Gujarat who spoke on “The Power of Design Thinking” with reference to her recently launched book ‘Silver Lining’. Demystifying pre-conceived notions of Design Thinking being restricted to corporate organisations, Dr. Jayanti highlighted the application and the power of integrated design to solve everyday problems, enabling human and societal upliftment.
The ‘8012 Design Talks’ directed towards putting into action the Polaris Group’s vision of Design Thinking, brings together industry experts, providing a platform to associates enabling exchange of knowledge on the power of Design Thinking. The series will have speakers from various walks of life speaking on how they have understood industry requirements, observed and clustered patterns, connecting dots and unearthing blind spots.
