Matrix Cellular has launched the ‘Mobile Protect’ Insurance plan for Smartphones purchased in or outside India. Smartphones have become an integral part of daily life because of the huge information warehouse it has in it. Losing or damaging your Smartphone can be a nightmare and can often result in information loss or even misuse. The insurance plan is administered in partnership with Allianz Global Assistance. The specially designed policy aims to protect Smartphone users in the event of theft, accidental and liquid damage and provide quick assistance and a timely resolution.
The plan provides insurance cover for Smartphones up to 1 year old, one of the key benefits of this plan, and includes cashless repair services and complimentary pick up and drop off during the claims process. The premium payable for insuring the Smartphone is same for all Android, iOS and Windows devices. A customer in India can get their Smartphone worth Rs. 10,000 upto Rs. 2 lacs insured at a competitive market price.
