Lenovo launches ‘Smart Connected Devices’ store in Bihar

Patna, India, April 29, 2015: Lenovo, one of the leading PC players in India, launched its first Smart Connected Devices (SCD) store in Bihar today. Located in Patna, the store serves as a one stop destination to cater to the technology needs of all users, through new and exciting form factors including Notebooks, Desktops, Tablets and Smart Phones. Following the success of its first SCD store at Pune that was launched earlier this year, the introduction of the additional stores across the country is an integral part of Lenovo’s strategy to win in the PC+ era.

The highlight of the new retail format is a dedicated zone for shoppers to experience audio, gaming and other product usage scenarios. Customers can get the touch and feel of the newly launched   premium ranged products like Yoga 3 Pro and Y-Series and also avail inaugural offers and easy finance facilities.

Speaking at the launch, Shailendra Katyal- Director-HSB (Home & SMB) India said, “As we make stronger inroads into the exciting world of PC+, we want to offer our customers a one stop experience through our Smart Connected Device stores. Our products are becoming sleeker and smarter and we believe that the retail experience should match our future-ready portfolio. We are investing in areas such as product innovation, retail innovation and new markets to build a brand that is regarded as a smart connected devices player. Our new store will help showcase a holistic PC+ range to our customers through a refreshing format.”

Lenovo will consciously look at malls and high streets to launch the new format stores owing to the visibility and high footfalls offered by these locations. Lenovo plans to launch another 4 SCD stores in Bihar by the end of this year.

The store is located at the heart of Patna’s IT hub at Saket Tower on S.P. Verma Road. A paradise for technology enthusiasts, the outlet is spread over 300 square feet. Lenovo has partnered with Abhishek Bidasaria for its first store in Patna.

The layout and design of these stores are akin to Lenovo’s Smart Connected stores in Hong Kong, Tokyo and the US. Offering a solution- based approach rather than feature selling, the store provides consumers a ‘touch and feel’ of all products. Understanding the needs and nature of customers, Lenovo has invested in trained personnel called LenovoPros, who engage with customers on the shop floor to help them make a well-informed decision.
