New Delhi, India, July 06, 2015: Intel has launched the Intel Compute Stick in India. Powered by an Intel Atom Quad-Core processor. The Intel Compute Stick will serve as a new standard for stick computing devices which are enabled to deliver a mini-PC experience with full-size performance, reliability and complete ease. The Intel Compute Stick is currently available on Flipkart, iBall and Intel Technology Providers across the country.
Two versions built on the Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor which are launched in India provide users with a choice of two operating systems:
- Windows 8.1 – Pre installed with Bing and Windows 8.1, the Intel Compute Stick includes 32GB storage and 2GB memory.
- Linux – Pre-installed with Ubuntu 14.04, this offering of the Intel Compute Stick includes 8GB storage, 1GB memory.
Both devices come with Wi-Fi(802.11bgn) and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity, a USB 2.0 port to connect peripherals and a micro SD card slot for additional storage. The new generation computing device is versatile and is optimized to get the most out of the Intel Atom Quad-Core processor for games, videos, spreadsheets or presentations.
