Apple launched a new iPhone 12 series on Tuesday, featuring the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest and most inexpensive device in the latest range of iPhones. The iPhone 12 is designed as the counterpart to iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max is designed to replace the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, respectively. Hence, this article tells you everything about the newly launched iPhone series.
The newly built iPhone 12 models sport an extensive Super Retina XDR edge-to-edge displays for a brighter and more realistic visual experience and a new Ceramic Shield front cover, that gives the longest change in durability on an iPhone. The latest iPhones feature the A14 Bionic chipset which was released last month with Apple’s iPad Air. This new chipset used by Apple is said to be the first chipset to build on a 5-nanometer process in the smartphone industry. Apple reports that A14 Bionic has up to 50 percent of the fastest-competitive chip for both CPU and GPU. The A14 Bionic is fitted with a 16-core neural motor that can run 11 trillion activities per second.
The name of the launch event reveals how huge this new feature is for Apple. All four devices support 5G network. The phones have the most 5G bands on any smartphone, according to Apple. This applies to the globally broad 5G coverage. The devices support millimeter wave, and the higher frequency version of 5G. This allows iPhone 12 to reach a speed of 4 Gbps even in heavily populated areas.
iPhone 12 also includes a smart data mode that extends battery life by smartly assessing the 5G requirements and balancing real-time data usage, strength, and agility. The inexpensive phones in the series, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini are supported by a dual-lens configuration. The camera on the non-Pro devices works on the A14 Bionic machine imaging. The configuration features an ultra-large camera and a new wide camera with an f/1.6 aperture, which provides 27% light for better low light pictures and videos, according to Apple.
Compared to the previous version, a LIDAR scanner is used in the PRO units. Besides, there is a three-lens setup in the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The phones can record in a modern RAW mode with the help of A14 Bionic to provide more versatility to specialists. Concerning video recording, the smartphones support Dolby Vision, which is the first to be used on any smartphone.
Coming to battery life, the iPhone 12 mini will continue to play videos for up to 15 hours, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro can be controlled for up to 17 hours, and up to 20 hours with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. They all endorse rapid charging of up to 20W, and wireless charging can be enabled. They all feature MagSafe, which uses magnets to ensure the proper orientation of wireless charging pads and opens the door to new gadgets.
